Filter lists with AI
On lists where it is available, Build Filters With AI turns a plain-language description into a set of list filters. The action appears only when AI features are enabled for your organisation and you have access to the list. Confirmed AI-enabled lists include Incidents, Service Desk issues, Service Desk requests, Documents, and Form Templates.
Build filters from a description
Describe the results you want in ordinary words, and AI builds the filters for you. Any filters already on the list are replaced when the request is accepted, so build from a clean starting point if you need to keep the current set.
Open a supported list and click Build Filters With AI.
In the Describe Your Filters box, write what you want to see, up to 1,000 characters.
Submit your description.
If the request is validated, it replaces the current filter set. The filters AI builds appear as ordinary filter chips that you edit and remove like any other filter; how chips, More Filters, and Clear work is covered in Filter lists with quick filters.
What AI can use
The AI builds filters from your site's authorised fields, people, groups, locations, and values, so the results always respect your access. It does not reach records or values you cannot see.
When nothing changes
An ambiguous request returns a clarification instead of filters, and a failed request returns an error. In both cases your existing filters stay as they were.
AI filtering is never partially applied: either the full filter set from your description replaces the current filters, or nothing changes.
