How many sites does a subscription cover?
You do not need a subscription for every site. One subscription covers everything you manage together, and you only need a separate subscription per site when you have to separate users or locations and manage those sites separately.
Your situation | What you need |
|---|---|
All your locations are managed in one place, for example a business with two buildings | One subscription |
You want to keep users or locations separate and manage those sites separately | One subscription for each separately managed site |
Locations managed together: one subscription
A business with two buildings needs only one subscription if it is happy to have everything in one place. Add each building as a location under Premises > Locations, with its floors and rooms, so records for every building stay linked in one system. For the steps, see Creating Buildings and Rooms.
Sites managed separately: a subscription each
You need a separate subscription per site only when you want to manage those sites separately, for example with separate users or separate locations. In that case each separately managed site needs its own subscription: two separately managed sites means two licenses.
Sites and buildings are not the same thing
In CalmCompliance, a site is the level you manage and report on, and buildings, floors, and rooms are locations inside it. Two buildings that share the same management belong inside one site, so they do not need separate subscriptions.
