Manage training courses and results
Admins use the Training area to browse courses, enrol people, manage manual assignments, record training results manually, review assessment scores and attempt history, and sync iHasco data so course, person, and result information stays current.
Open the Training area
Go to Training in the main navigation
Choose Courses to browse the course catalogue
From here you can open any course to see its details, assign it to people or groups, or manage external course data.
Enrol a person in a course
Go to Training > Courses
Open the course you want to assign
Click Assign Training
In the Assign To section, choose People or Groups
Select the people or groups you want to enrol
Set a due date (optional) and click Assign
The system creates an individual training assignment for each person. When you assign to a group, every member gets their own assignment. Learners see the course in their inbox and on the My Courses page.
Manage assignments from a course
On a course detail page, the Assignments panel lets you review who is assigned and manage manual assignments. You need the Manager or Admin role for the Personnel module to edit due dates, remove people, or delete assignments.
Go to Training > Courses and open the course
Open the Assignments panel
Use the People / Assignments toggle to switch how the panel is grouped
People is the default view and lists people on the course with their completion status. Assignments groups people under each parent assignment so you can review progress, due dates, and manage the assignment as a whole.
Edit an assignment due date
In the Assignments view, expand a manual assignment and edit its Due Date. You can also clear the date. The new date applies to fulfillments that are Assigned, In Progress, or Overdue. It does not change Completed, Exempted, or Failed fulfillments, and it does not overwrite fulfillments that already have an extended due date.
Edit a person's due date
From either view, edit an individual fulfillment due date on a manual assignment. You can clear the date where editing is allowed. If the person has an extended due date, the extended date is shown with the original date struck through, and the due date cannot be edited inline.
Remove a person from an assignment
Use Remove on a fulfillment row to take one person off a manual assignment. Their training result is kept. If you remove the last person, the empty assignment stays until you delete it separately.
Delete a manual assignment
In the Assignments view, expand a manual assignment and choose Delete Assignment. This removes the assignment and all of its fulfillments. Linked training results are kept.
Deleting an archived Calm course is different: it permanently removes the course and its linked assignments, fulfillments, training results (including completions and certificates), and quiz attempts. Only the Admin role for the Personnel module can delete archived Calm courses. For the full workflow, see Create and assign Calm training courses.
View training on a person profile
Open a person from Contacts > People to see their standalone Training card. The card shows an overall completion percentage, a segmented progress bar, and a Complete / In Progress / Overdue legend.
Go to Contacts > People and open the person
Find the Training card on their profile
Review the completion percentage and progress bar at the top of the card
Expand a course row to see assignments and results, then use the status chips to filter the list
Anyone with a Personnel module role of Member, Manager, or Admin can view training on People profiles. See Training roles and access for the full breakdown.
Training overview
The top of the Training card summarises every assignment and result for that person.
A large completion percentage, with an X of Y complete count underneath
A segmented progress bar split across Complete, In Progress, and Overdue
An On Track or Needs Attention indicator — Needs Attention appears when any item is overdue
A legend for Complete, In Progress, and Overdue
When the person has no assignments or results to count, the overview shows No training assigned instead of a percentage breakdown.
Status buckets mean:
Complete — finished or exempted items
In Progress — items that are underway or not yet overdue
Overdue — overdue, expired, or failed items
Course rows and status filters
Below the overview, each course appears as its own row with a mini progress bar and a completed-of-total count.
Click a course row to expand or collapse its assignments and results. A chevron shows whether the row is open.
Courses with nothing assigned show a muted None assigned state and cannot be expanded.
Inside an expanded course, click the Overdue, In Progress, or Complete chips to narrow the visible rows. Click the active chip again to clear the filter.
If no rows match the selected chip, the course shows No assignments or results match this filter.
When the person is not enrolled in any courses, the card shows No training data available for this person. If training data exists but there are no course rows to list, it shows No training results found.
Record a manual training result
Click Add Result on an external course with no result yet to open the full-page Record Training Result form. You need the Manager or Admin role for the Personnel module.
Open the person from Contacts > People, or open the course from Training > Courses
Find the Result column for the external course. On a person profile, expand the course row on the Training card first
Click Add Result
On Record Training Result, review any locked Learner or Course values carried over from the page you started on. Hidden fields stay set to that person or course. If a field is shown, choose the learner or external course
Set Training Status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, Failed, or Expired) and complete the fields shown for that status
When the status is Completed, enter Completed At. Use Add Optional Details if you need Started At, Expires On, Certificate, Training Provider, or Notes
Click Save Training Result
After you save or cancel, you return to the course page if you started from a course, the person page if you started from a person, or Training if neither was locked.
Expires On is available for completed results. If you leave it blank and the course has a validity period, expiry is derived from the completion date plus that period. Date fields on the form can be cleared.
To change an existing manual result, use the edit control in the same Result column. That opens the Edit Training Result form.
Review assessment results
For courses that include a quiz assessment, you can review learner attempts, scores, and pass status from the course assessment review area.
See Add an assessment to a training course for how to enable assessments and interpret attempt history.
Sync iHasco training data
If your organisation is connected to iHasco, you can run sync actions to import or refresh courses, people, custom fields, and training results.
Available sync actions
iHasco Sync Courses — imports or refreshes the course catalogue
iHasco Sync Meta Codes — refreshes custom field definitions
iHasco Sync People — imports or refreshes user accounts
iHasco Sync Training Results — imports completion records and certificates
Sync settings
In the iHasco sync settings, you can configure which data is synchronised:
Sync Users — import user accounts from iHasco to your organisation
Sync Training Results — import training completion records and certificates from iHasco
User Filtering — limit which users are imported
Email Domain Filter — only sync users whose email addresses match a specific domain (for example, company.com). Leave empty to sync all users
Sync Inactive Users — include inactive or disabled iHasco accounts in the sync
What you need to use Training
You need a Personnel module role of Manager or Admin to assign courses, manage manual assignments, add manual results, and run iHasco sync actions.
Group membership does not grant module access. Each user needs at least a Personnel module role of Member to see and complete assigned courses.
