Link an incident to a risk assessment

Link an incident to a risk assessment by adding a Risk Assessment Review step in the incident investigation. The step records the review in the investigation timeline and, when permitted, creates a linked review record in the risk assessment so the follow-up is tracked in both places.

Before you start

You need the Incident module manage or admin role to record investigation steps. See Incidents roles and access for details.

Record a Risk Assessment Review step

  1. Open the incident detail page and scroll to the investigation section.

  2. Select Record Step.

  3. Choose Risk Assessment Review from the list of step types.

  4. Select the risk assessment you want to link.

  5. Enter your review comments.

  6. Set the Performed At timestamp to record when the review took place.

  7. Save the step.

The step is added to the investigation timeline as Risk Assessment Reviewed, ordered newest first. It includes a navigable link to the risk assessment. When you have permission, CalmCompliance also creates a linked review record in the risk assessment itself.
