Manage compliance requirements
Manage the compliance requirements that apply to your site's companies and personnel from Contacts > Requirements. The workspace has two tabs: Our Requirements lists the requirements your site has created or adopted, and Library holds system templates you can add to your site for review.
Open the Requirements workspace
Go to Contacts > Requirements. Anyone with a Personnel module role can view the workspace and compliance results. Managers and Admins can create and edit custom requirements, activate, archive, and reactivate them, and manage personnel skills. For the full role breakdown, see Personnel roles and access.
Our Requirements tab
Our Requirements lists the requirements your site owns, with summary metrics for Site Requirements, Passing Checks, and Needs Attention.
Filter by lifecycle — choose All, Active, Adopting, or Archived.
Sort the list — by Health, Name, or Recently Updated.
Open a requirement — each card shows the requirement name and description, a lifecycle badge, its evidence impact, and whether it targets Companies or Personnel. Click Open to view the detail page.
Draft and inactive requirements are excluded from the list. If no requirements match your filter, the tab shows No Requirements Match.
Library tab
Library lists system compliance templates you can add to your site. It includes recommended contractor baseline requirements such as Public Liability Insurance, Employers' Liability Insurance, and SSIP Accreditation for active contractor companies.
Open Contacts > Requirements and switch to the Library tab.
Find a template and click Add to site.
Review the copied requirement, then continue its setup.
Adding a template copies it to your site for review. The copy enters the Adopting stage and does not take effect until you activate it.
Requirement lifecycle
Requirements move through an explicit lifecycle, and adopting a requirement does not enforce it.
Adopting — publishing a new or edited requirement starts this stage. The requirement is visible for preparation but is not yet enforced.
Active — a requirement becomes operational only after you activate it from its detail page. Active results use the Healthy, Missing Evidence, Expired, Superseded, and Expiring soon states.
Archived — archived requirements are shown as not in use and do not contribute to active compliance. You can reactivate them.
For the full create, publish, activate, archive, and reactivate workflow, see Create and manage custom compliance requirements.
Requirement detail page
Open a requirement to see what it applies to and how your site is doing against it. The detail page shows Who it applies to, Accepted evidence, Current Impact, and the in-scope people or companies grouped into Needs attention, Expiring soon, and Healthy. From here you can activate, archive, or reactivate a requirement, and open the evidence actions for individual records.
Inherited companies and personnel records can appear in scope. Their evidence and skills are managed at the owning site, so remediation for those records happens there. For how to read the results and fix them, see Review company and personnel compliance.
