Require and upload completion photos

Admins can require users to attach completion photo evidence before an issue, request, or work order can be marked complete. When the requirement is on, the complete and resolve forms prompt for one or more photos before the status change is accepted. When it is off, photos are optional.

Turn on the requirement

Site admins enable the requirement in the module settings for each record type.

  1. Go to your site settings for Issues or Operations.

  2. Turn on the option to require completion photo evidence.

  3. Save the setting.

When the requirement is enabled, every issue, request, or work order of that type must include at least one completion photo before it can be finished.

Upload completion photos when finishing an item

When you complete or resolve an issue, request, or work order, the form includes a photo upload step if the setting is on or off.

  1. Open the issue, request, or work order and choose to complete or resolve it.

  2. In the status change form, add one or more completion photos in the photo evidence section.

  3. Fill in any other required fields and submit.

If the admin has required photo evidence, the form prevents submission until at least one photo is attached.

Required versus optional

Setting

What users see

Required

The complete/resolve form blocks submission until one or more photos are added.

Optional

Users can finish the item without adding photos, but the photo upload area is still available.

Where photos are stored

Completion photos are attached to the record you are finishing (the issue, request, or work order) and become part of its history and audit trail.

Work orders created from issues keep their own completion photos separate from the issue images.
