Use the planned work timeline controls

Open the options menu in the Planner header to hide inactive plans, change how rows are grouped, and adjust the zoom level. The timeline also shows priority flags and team avatars on each row so you can scan work at a glance.

Before you start

You need at least the Operations Member role to view the Planner.

Open the Planner

  1. Go to Operations > Planner.

  2. The timeline shows scheduled occurrences across a 24-month horizon.

Adjust the view with the options menu

Open the options menu in the Planner header to change how the timeline is displayed.

  1. Hide Inactive Plans — toggle this to remove inactive schedules from the timeline. Hidden plans are only hidden from the current view; the schedule data and settings remain unchanged.

  2. Group Rows By — choose how rows are grouped. The grouping choices include:

    • Category — groups rows by schedule category.

    • Location — groups rows by target location.

    • Asset type — groups rows by asset type.

    • Asset — groups rows by individual asset.

    The default grouping is category.

Read the timeline rows

Each row includes clearer labels and indicators that make the timeline easier to scan:

  • Priority flag — hover the flag to see the priority label.

  • Team avatar — a circle showing the assigned team for group assignments. See Using Groups for Assignments for more about team assignments.

  • Location ordering — rows are ordered by location.

Zoom the timeline

Use the zoom controls in the header to switch between:

  • Year Zoom

  • Quarter Zoom

  • Week Zoom

  • Day Zoom
