Using Groups in Contacts
Groups live under Contacts > Groups on a dedicated list and detail page. From the group detail page you can manage members, review compliance status, view recurring distributions, and add site-specific comments.
Open a group
Click any group name in the list to open its detail page.
Go to Contacts > Groups.
Click the group name in the list.
The detail page shows the member list and, depending on the group, cards for compliance status, recurring distributions, and a comments panel.
Manage members
Use Manage Members on the detail page to add or remove people.
Open the group from the list.
Click Manage Members.
Search for users by name or email and select the checkbox next to each person you want to add.
Click Add Selected Members.
To remove a member, open the group and click the Remove icon next to their name. You can only remove members added by your site. Members added by a parent site show a label such as Added by another site and must be removed by that site's administrator.
Review compliance status
The group detail page shows a Compliance Status summary. Module cards for Documents, Risks, and Forms display whether members have completed their required assignments.
View recurring distributions
When the group is used in recurring distributions, a Recurring Distributions card appears on the detail page. This shows the distributions configured to trigger when group membership changes or on a schedule.
Add comments
Each group has a Comments panel scoped to your site. Click the Comments tab on the detail page to view or add notes about the group.
Edit or delete a group
You can edit or delete groups you created from the detail page header.
Open the group.
Click Edit in the header to change the name, description, or sharing settings.
Click Delete in the header to remove the group. You can only delete a group that has no members.
Groups shared from a parent site are read-only and cannot be edited or deleted from your site.
Before you start
You need the Manager or Admin role for the Site module to manage groups. If you do not see Contacts or Groups, contact your site administrator.
