Create or attach work orders from condition survey findings

Create a new work order directly from a condition survey finding, or attach an existing work order, so maintenance or remediation can be tracked from the graded issue. Linked work orders appear on both the finding and the work order record for audit context.

Create a new work order from a finding

  1. Open the condition survey and navigate to the row you want to action.

  2. Click Create Work Order.

  3. Complete the work order details.

  4. Save the work order. It is created and linked to the survey row.

Attach an existing work order

  1. Open the condition survey and navigate to the row you want to link.

  2. Click Attach Work Order.

  3. Select the existing work order from the list.

  4. Click Attach. The work order is now linked to the survey row.

Where linked work orders appear

After a work order is linked to a survey row, you can see the connection from either record:

  • On the condition survey, open the row to view its linked work orders.

  • On the work order, the linked survey row appears for audit context.

Detach a work order

  1. Open the condition survey row that has a linked work order.

  2. Click Detach Work Order.

  3. Confirm the action. The row and the work order remain in the system, but they are no longer linked.

Detaching a work order does not delete the work order itself. It only removes the link between the survey finding and the work order.
