Condition Surveys

Edit condition survey rows

Open a condition survey row and edit fields directly in place without leaving the survey screen. Each field shows its own save and cancel controls when you click to edit.

Open a row for editing

From the condition survey, open the row you want to edit. The row detail page is the editing surface.

Change the subject

Click the Element or Asset field to choose what the row describes. If the field is empty, the prompt reads Add element or asset.

Choose an element

In element mode, select the element and sub-element, then choose the construction type.

Choose an asset

In asset mode, select an asset from the list filtered by the rowโ€™s location.

Change grade and priority

Click Grade & Priority. Choose a grade and a priority from the dropdowns. Select โ€” to leave a field blank.

Change quantity and unit

Click Quantity and Unit. Enter a quantity and a unit. The quantity field accepts decimal numbers. Invalid numeric input prevents saving.

Change basis of assessment and notes

Click Basis of Assessment or Notes to add or change text. If either field is empty, the prompts read Add basis of assessment and Add notes. Both fields use a resizable textarea. Empty text is saved as null.

Save or cancel your changes

Each field has its own inline save and cancel controls. Click Save to apply the change, or Cancel to discard it.

Empty row navigation blocker

If you create a new row and leave it empty, the system may block navigation away from that row until you complete or discard it. Press Escape to reset the blocked state.

Whatโ€™s next

After recording findings, you can create or attach work orders from condition survey findings to turn graded issues into maintenance tasks. For the full survey workflow, see Create a condition survey and Add coverage to a condition survey.
