Integration availability
Integration availability controls whether your organisation can see, request, connect, or run an integration in the Integrations catalogue. It is separate from your role permissions and from whether an integration is currently connected.
Where availability appears
Open Settings > Integrations with the Admin role for your site. Each provider card shows a status label and an action that match your organisation’s access for that integration.
The same availability decision applies if you open an integration configuration page directly. When access is not enabled, configuration and operation stay blocked even if you have the Admin role.
Availability states
Each integration resolves to one of these states for your organisation.
State | What you see | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
Hidden | The provider card is not shown in the catalogue. | Nothing in the catalogue for that provider. The integration is not offered to your organisation. |
Request required | Status Access required. Description: Contact us to request access to the [integration] integration. Action Request access or Contact support. | Request access. You cannot connect or configure until Calm enables the integration for your organisation. |
Trial locked | Status Not available during trial. Description: [Integration] is available once your organisation moves to a paid account. Action Talk to us about upgrading. | Start an upgrade conversation. You cannot connect while the trial restriction applies. |
Unavailable | Status Unavailable. Description: [Integration] is no longer available for your organisation. You can manage the existing connection to disconnect it. Action Manage Connection when a connection already exists. | Open the connection to disconnect and remove credentials. You cannot configure, sync, import, or otherwise operate the integration. |
Enabled | Normal connection status such as Not connected, Connected, or Inactive (or Available for import-style cards such as Civica). | Connect, configure, sync, import, or use the provider’s primary action (for example Import on Civica). |
Request access and upgrade prompts
Request access and Talk to us about upgrading open a support conversation so Calm can enable the integration or discuss your plan. They do not connect the integration on their own.
After access is granted, return to Settings > Integrations and use the provider’s normal connect or import action. Provider-specific setup still applies after access is enabled—for example Wonde still needs school approval after you connect.
When access is withdrawn
If Calm withdraws access after you already connected an integration, the catalogue shows Unavailable with Manage Connection.
On the integration page, the heading Integration unavailable explains that configuration and operation are disabled, but you can disconnect the integration and remove its credentials. Use Disconnect integration to clean up. Successful disconnect shows: The integration has been disconnected and its credentials removed.
Blocked connect, configure, sync, import, and other operations fail with: This integration is not available for your organisation.
Access, permissions, and connection status
These are three different checks:
Availability — whether your organisation is allowed to use the integration at all (this article).
Permissions — whether your role can manage integrations. The Integrations page requires the Admin role. Without it you see: You don't have permission to manage integrations. Please contact your administrator.
Connection status — whether credentials are saved and the provider is connected, inactive, or not connected.
You can have permission to manage integrations and still be blocked by availability. You can also have an existing connection that becomes unavailable, then disconnect it without being able to run syncs.
Parent and child sites
Some integrations must be set up on the parent site. On a child site the card can show: [Integration] must be configured at the parent site.
Providers that use request access
These catalogue providers currently use request-required access until Calm enables them for your organisation: Sign In App, Wonde, PeopleHR, Breathe HR, Dexma, SFG20, and Civica.
Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, and iHasco are available as enabled catalogue providers when your organisation has them.
For provider setup after access is enabled, see:
