Use the Timeline controls
The Timeline header controls let you switch the zoom level between Year, Quarter, Week, and Day, change how rows are grouped, jump straight to today, and show workload lanes when rows are grouped by Assignee.
Before you start
You need at least the Operations Member role to view the Timeline.
Open the Timeline
Go to Operations > Timeline.
The timeline shows your routine work as bars across the timeline. Occurrences that are forecast rather than created work items appear as dashed bars labelled Forecast.
Change the zoom level
Use the zoom controls in the Timeline header to choose how much time the view covers.
Select Year, Quarter, Week, or Day in the zoom controls.
Group the rows
The Group Rows By control changes how the timeline organises rows, so you can scan work the way you plan it.
Open Group Rows By in the Timeline header.
Choose one of the four grouping options:
Asset Class
Assignee
Routine
Category
Jump to today
The Jump to Today control centres the view on the current date, so you can return to the present after scrolling through future or past periods.
Show workload lanes
Workload lanes are available when the timeline is grouped by assignee, so group the rows first if you have not already.
Set Group Rows By to Assignee.
Turn on Show Workload Lanes.
What the rows show
Each row carries indicators that make the timeline easy to scan:
Priority flag: hover the flag to see the priority.
Team avatar: a circle showing the assigned team for group assignments. See Using Groups for Assignments for more about team assignments.
Location ordering: rows are ordered by location.
